Are you wondering what photography gear I use or what the best camera would be for a newbie? I’m sharing all of that for you here.

What's In My Camera Bag

Nikon D750 | A lightweight, full-frame camera body that I absolutely love.
Nikon 24-70mm 2.8 | This is my favorite lens ever and what I shoot with most of the time.
Nikon 28mm 1.8 | This lens is really great for portraits and head shots.
Nikon 28-300mm | This is a great zoom lens. I don't use it as often as my other lenses but it's a must for shooting landscapes and events when I can't be as close as a portrait session.
Nikon SB-700 | This is a great on or off camera flash. So easy to use. I have an older model flash as well (SB-600) but this one is my go-to.
Nikon SU-800 Wireless Speedlight Commander | This allows me to use my speedlights off camera to create better lighting.
Amazon Basics Camera Backpack | This is a really great, budget friendly backpack. I've used it for years and I'm super happy with it. Protects my camera gear and comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
SanDisk Extreme Pro SD Cards | I have a ton of these. Favorite SD cards. My camera allows 2 SD cards at a time and I always have extras.

Recommended Gear For Beginners

Nikon D3500 | This is a great starter camera!
Nikon 18-55mm | This is a basic starter lens that you can usually find bundled with the Nikon D3500.
Nikon 35mm 1.8 | What I always recommend as an upgrade lens. It provides better looking images and allows beginners to explore how to really use different apertures.
